Anniversary of the Union Station Massacre

Today is the Anniversary of the Union Station Massacre.   A Group of officers were transporting the criminal Frank Nash who broke out of Leavenworth Penitentiary three years earlier when  they were surrounded by four men with guns.  The men opened fire on the officers; all but two died.  Nash ended up being killed by one of the officer’s guns.  The men who killed the officers was sentenced to 2 years in prison and was made to pay 10 thousand dollars.
